Document Set Design
The Northwestern Memorial Hospital Information Services department tracked work requests through an application called Magic. When this product was replaced by new software, Service Desk Express, I needed to write documentation that helped experienced staff transition to the new features and modules. In addition, I had to create documentation to train newly hired employees.
To meet the needs of these differing audiences, I created a documentation set that consisted of a "What's New" brochure (pictured), four brief guides for the each module in the application, and a complete user guide.
The "What's New" brochure was printed as a color, tri-fold document and left on each employee's desk the night before the new application was rolled-out.
